SCOTT LIGHTNER

President
Scott Lightner, President at Finch Computing, has more than 25 years of experience developing and delivering data-intensive software products for Fortune 500 Companies and Government Customers. Scott was one of the company’s original founders and previously served as our Chief Technology Officer. In that role, he led a team of data scientists and engineers who secured more than 30 patents on natural language processing (NLP), data modeling, in-memory computing and more. The team built three products around our core NLP capabilities: Finch for Text®, a real-time NLP software as a service offering; Finch Data as a Service (DaaS), which provides curated real-time data feed products; and Finch Analyst, which leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver entity-driven insights and alerting.

Scott Lightner, President at Finch Computing, has more than 25 years of experience developing and delivering data-intensive software products for Fortune 500 Companies and Government Customers. JOSEPH CIRKA

Chief Information Officer
Joseph Cirka, Chief Information Officer, has over 25 years of experience creating successful software, hardware and integrated solutions for government and industry customers. As CIO, Joseph provides direction and support to Finch product teams delivering innovative product solutions that can adapt to government and industry customer use cases. Throughout his career, Joseph has used his extensive knowledge and experience with Big Data Analytics to provide software-based solutions for numerous software companies as well as many government customers. His experience includes full product lifecycle implementation from proof-of-concept demonstrations to successful deployment of custom and enterprise solutions from end to end. His background covers all aspects of Information Technology design, development, architecture, knowledge discovery, and data mining. He leads teams of engineers utilizing Agile processes, and industry standards based continuous integration tools and workflows.

Joseph Cirka, Chief Information Officer, has over 25 years of experience creating successful software, hardware and integrated solutions for government and industry customers. STEVE SCIBETTA

Vice President, Business Operations and General Counsel
Steve Scibetta, General Counsel & Vice President of Operations, manages all of Finch Computing’s legal, sales and finance initiatives. He specializes in corporate and privacy law as well as big data, taxation and securities. During his career he has helped to complete two corporate asset sales of major federal contracts packages and has organized the private equity offering and recapitalization of a closely held LLC. Prior to joining Finch Computing, Steve was a project assistant at Wilmer Hale, LLP and then an EDGAR Coordinator at K&L Gates. There, he sat at the intersection of big data and law, managing research into the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system, which contains millions of records, processes about 3,000 filings per day, and serves up 3,000 terabytes of data to the public annually. Steve studied politics and religion at Princeton University before graduating from the Delaware School of Law.

Franz Weckesser, Chief Architect, brings to the team more than 25 years of system engineering experience from Microsoft, LexisNexis, and Reynolds & Reynolds. Franz was a lead developer in the initial release of LexisNexis entity search and verification products on the web exposing thousands of data sources. He co-developed and managed the data mining search engine hosting billions of records. Notably, Franz is renowned in the complex data management, search and retrieval domain and has two registered patents for the development of Associated Text Search and Retrieval Systems. He has also worked extensively on automated data fabrication and enhancement systems for domestic and international data. He currently works with federal government and agency customers. Franz is now focusing his efforts on large scale entity extraction, data fusion and geospatial processing.

Chris Szlucha is responsible for the oversight and management of all professional services engagements, supporting the deployment and customization of the entire suite of Finch Computing solutions in search, data management, data enhancement and analytics. In this role, Chris provides technical project management and strategic planning in delivering service offerings that align technology solutions with business objectives. Previously, Chris served as the Director of Enterprise Services and Deputy Program Manager of Operations and Engineering for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Infrastructure Support Service contract. He managed the day-to-day activities of a team of more than 100 system architects, engineers, and administrators charged with the operations of the SEC’s IT infrastructure. During this time, he was responsible for 150% organic growth of the contract. Prior to the SEC, Chris held the positions as Director of Cloud Services, Executive Account Manager, and Senior Systems Architect for Apptis, TATI, and Harrah’s Casino.
